The development association were delighted to meet with Caroline Horan (Access Officer Wexford County Council) and Engineer (David Wexford County Council) to get an update on the new footpath in Ballycanew. A new landing pad with wheelchair access will be install in front of Papa Rodes old building. At the roundabout a new island will be installed to allow wheelchairs and people a stage landing area in the center of the road to cross the road.
The current new footpath will continue past Roche’s where at Milfield a crossing will be installed. We also showed her the path at the pedestrian crossing has no dip on the school side which will now be addressed during these works and we also addressed the wall at One for the road now whilst this has been logged we are now working to invest Town and Village Renewal to address this issue and more footpaths installed from the top of the village to meet up with the school. We also addressed the footpath at Tina’s and Sizzles So a great mornings work and loads achieved
