Membership of the Ballycanew Ballyoughter Community Development Association is listed in our End of Year Report, our Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association, also Membership Details can be found in our Constitution, all of which can be found on the CRO Website. We are also registered with the Charity’s Regulator and have obtained a charity Number RCN:20143114 Our Current Membership stands at 11 Members taken from a wide range and Demographic of the Ballycanew Ballyoughter Community, who are also involved in the many other groups in the area. We hold Monthly meetings or more often if the need arises. We are also signed up to the Good Governance Code with the Charity’s Regulator and have signed off on all of our documentation. Our Members are:Jason Medd Chairperson: Jason has multiple years’ experience in chairing other committees, Jason is proficient in HR having studied this in college, and skilled in Business Strategy and Technology having worked in the industry for the past 23 years. Jason originally hails from Newfoundland (Canada) and brings a new perspective on ways to build the community as a whole Jason also provides the skills to learn new technologies for the purpose of passing on this knowledge in training for the community. Aislinn Dunne Secretary: I am highly motivated and progress focused individual with a long-standing interest in community. With a track record of initiative and dependability, I have devised strategic initiatives which I believe will prove valuable to the community Throughout the course of my career, I have perfected my ability to learn quickly and also have good communication skills. I am a capable and consistent problem solver skilled at prioritizing and managing projects with proficiency. In my previous roles, I contributed, and communicated toward team efforts and business improvements. I am progressively minded and in tune with new developments. I have proven to be effective and collaborative with strong interpersonal talents. I enjoy collective brainstorming sessions which allow a team to achieve a common goal. Peggy Byrne Treasurer: Peggy a native of Camolin, has had the privilege to have lived in the area of Ballycanew all her life, thus providing an essential link with all community members. Peggy is on several different committees in the area which include, The Local Gaa Club, The Ballycanew Christmas Lights Committee, and the Bridge Club. Peggy has dedicated many years to the local area, by always been available in support of the local community. Peggy is the lynchpin that ensures a fair balance is always at the forefront of the Association. |
Dave Jordon Director:
Dave set up his own business in 1999, locally known as as TheWebGuy.ie and now trades as Cada Media Ltd. They offer Web Design / Online Marketing company based in Gorey, Co. Wexford,
Dave is one of the founding members of the Gorey Awards now in its 4th year of operation.
Dave has now taken on the job of Media for the Development Association, where he will be retrofitting our new website over the coming months, to ensure that it is more streamlined and all documentation is captured to ensure a more visible and transparent presence to the Association
Declan Kenny Director:
Declan a native of Ballycanew, brings much to the table, with new initiatives.
Declan has been involved in many groups over the previous years, and is currently chair of the local Text Alert System in Ballycanew. Declan is also one of the founding members of the initiative.
Declan is proficient in Data Management, and during his time on the committee, has previously served as both Chair and Treasurer.
Declan has now been active on the Development Association for the past 6 years, and enjoys the progressive ideas being brought to the local area.
Phil Byrne Director:
Phil is a local business owner having lived in the area for the past 20 years.
Phil is a member of several committees in the area including the Ballycanew Christmas Lights Committee, and the Local Gun Club.
Phil brings a wealth of experience to the association including the set up of Garda Vetting for members. She is well suited to project management bringing her own day to day capabilities to the group.
Phil has previously served as Treasurer for the past 4 years, and during this time, brought new data capture practices to the Association
Phil is a member of the Association for the past 5 years and a director for the past 4. She is a valued member of the association.
