We are delighted to see that work had started on the footpath on the main street in Ballycanew. As mentioned in previous posts we have been pushing hard with the various parties involved to get this section of the main street “Pedestrian Friendly”. The wall has been removed and the variations in the levels have been adjusted to make it with a slight incline from the drain upward towards the adjacent building. 

Concrete has been poured and the section cordoned off as you can see from the photos.

Looking forward to a safer Summer in the village.
